🔧 Steps to Increase Timeout in PuTTY
Open PuTTY.
In the left sidebar, go to:
On the right side, look for:
- Seconds between keepalives: Set this to a non-zero value (e.g.,
60seconds).- This sends a null packet every 60 seconds to keep the session alive.
- Enable TCP keepalives: Make sure this is checked.
- Seconds between keepalives: Set this to a non-zero value (e.g.,
(Optional) To save these settings:
- Go back to the Session category.
- Enter a name under Saved Sessions.
- Click Save.
